New RIF day for those not moving to Cognizant

August 31st.

FIS either realized their mistake in record time, or need additional time to line up a buyer.

Is your company quietly firing you without actually letting you go? Quiet firing, forced resignation, and constructive dismissal are more common than most people realize, and most employees don't recognize the signs until it's too late. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYaMPUHoQJ0

fis transferred about 1713 plus or minus to cognizant. they fired around 1000. fis is made up of over 50k employees. 17k us, 17k india, 17k emea. Those are general numbers. FIS will be lower than 10k employees in total when this is completed. What do you think is going to happen?

Does this mean that employees who’s last day is suppose to be June 30th is now August 31st? Or is this for a select few?

Just to clarify, which of their many, many mistakes did FIS realize? If anyone wants to free style on that, go ahead.

@am the new policy, although not identified as such, was sent out as a Workday task to "sign the severance policy." It felt suspicious at the time, shortly thereafter there were layoffs. After that, whenever any kind of Workday item went it, it lauded another change.

For those of you severance eligible, please regularly check the severance plan terms on the intranet or by requesting it in writing through TPO. I don’t trust them to not change the terms between now and end of August.

In 2025 they quietly changed the severance plan right before a big layoff and got away with not announcing it since it was posted on the intranet

that rif will include lower level management. c suite, no, the board and c suites are in self preservation. just a management shakeup with a continuance of cleaning up all of the fat in all of the business segments.

remember those products onboarded in the last 20 years still running on a compaq server somewhere? remember all that old code that could never be touched, integrated, streamlined. this is the point where fis cleans out all garbage employees, management and actually focuses.

yes, more rifs, look your manager in the eye because that is the piece of sh-t that caused this. look at your fellow employees that did nothing every month because they are the pieces of sh-t that caused this. look at executives and the board because they caused this.

@a5 Anyone not accepting the Cognizant offer was taken as, “FIS accepts your voluntary resignation,” with no severance. The separation letter was as if we were being fired on April 10th. For the extension of June 30th employees, new severance letters were sent out this morning.
