Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

When are the salary and bonus numbers finalized?

I know we are supposed to have our year-end reviews in mid to late January and find out what our raises and bonus amounts are then, with the new #'s actually kicking in in February. Does anyone know when those numbers are actually finalized though so that leadership can't make adjustments?

There is a pool of money that was already decided. Promotions when they used to occur (not anymore) we’re planned.

Upper management decides how it is spent. Managers have little to say. I know for a fact that their recommendations are ignored by their management if they want to save a buck and get a bigger bonus for themselves.

The game is rigged in favor of the C-suite.

while there are plenty of non-exempt (hourly) bonus eligible positions I'd guess the majority of bonus eligible positions are exempt.

@1btv+1kn4gkSy you do understand you’re wrong correct? I’ll assume not since you made the statement in the first place. Only Exempt employees do not get OT. Bonus has nothing to do with it.

@1btv. I also know what you are bringing down before the bonus compared to those getting OT so still not crying.

You understand that people who get a bonus do not get overtime pay, right?

I'd make more money if I could bill every hour over 40 at 1.5x pay than I do not getting OT and a bonus instead.

Until it is released to Payroll they can make changes. I was given my number the day before it went to payroll and the number changed despite it being "locked"

@1tdb. As this company is more interested in hiring fresh out of school, external or offshore, I am not holding my breath.

Age discrimination exists and disabilities count against you as well. DEI is more than one thing despite what the C-suite thinks because they are covering their a$$ from previous errant comments.

People are missing that for many bonus-eligible positions, the year end bonus is a significant part of overall pay. Excluding bonus, salaries for some of these positions would be well below market rate. That is why many are upset with the decreased transparency around TVC and bonuses.

if you're upset about not being bonus eligible perhaps work towards moving into a position that is. while I am bonus eligible I never count on the money as it is discretionary so until it hits my bank account it doesn't exist.

@ulq. No bonus is what 90% of the company gets anyway. Pardon me if I don’t react to the tears every other day of those crying about their bonus.

OC-level review in early january. so after that they are a locked as they can be, but can still be changed if there's a reason... like some malfeasance is discovered or someone quits...the numbers aren't really final-final until the day it processes - they can pull it back/change it right up until then.

No bonuses, have you not gotten the memo?!? They just paid $3.7 billion, there ain't no money left. Maybe improve your internal controls and risk oversight and then ask for a bonus?!

Is that all you care about? You sound like a corporate leech. Probably entitled and think you are owed something.

I'd say by now it is pretty well set, but until it is loaded into the system and payroll the last week of January it is subject to change. I haven't seen any change in the numbers I submitted a couple weeks back.
