Feels like a slap in the face. I am a fresh graduate with less than two years of experience and Dan feels so nice to set up a fund to "reskill" me. Guess it's my fault for not having the same corporate nepotism as those on the board.

OP, it's just part of the separation package that is included for everyone. They felt obligated to try and help you after the RIF.
It seems there is no future in selling phones at the mall. Who woulda thunk. Of course you need reskilling. You waisted two years already. You are lucky they give you anything.
