I don't do that anymore. For the last year I've been doing the minimum and nothing more. Took two certifications on their dime. Spend my days learning things for my next role. Resume is out there. If they want to cut me, fine. The severance will just be extra. I'm ready.

Don't listen to these other lame posts. You have the right mindset. Take all that Cisco has to give. Training, networking contacts, ergonomic desk and chair for home office, severance, medical care, dental care (i.e. braces) for you and your family, just start throwing cash in the bank and yeah...enjoy the ride.
One thing I didn't do was network outside of cisco...start connecting with people who have already left and find out what they're doing.
All the people making snide remarks have no idea what they're doing. Just ride the wave. Enjoy!
This is indeed the update we were all waiting for. Now that you are ok we can all stop visiting this site and they can shut it down.
You should probably just leave if that's your mindset. Can't be happy in that mode.
