Every financial institution that's gone belly up, Bankrupt was interviewing for open roles posted on their website up until the Government and Regulators ordered them to close their doors, even when they were simultaneously laying off employees!
Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Wachovia, Credit Suisse, Dresdner, BancOne, Chemical Bank......you name it.
Wouldnt want to go back even if they wanted me. Terrible culture, terrible management. Back stabbers and butt kissers
They are all fake. Please don't waste your time! Mostly for favorite candidates or mostly for same caste employees if the hiring manager is of Indian origin. The department of labor should review the hiring manager hiring patterns and their association with the new hires.
@c3 are you in tech? I got 4, knowing I will let go in the next cut, I did not find such team so far (gave 3 interviews for internal positions) , talking to internal manager is useless
Different team differently. I am a hiring manager. Only hiring Citizen and greencard holder. No h1b No h4. We are more happy to hire internally than external. Let's Stay position. As long as you want to contribute! Please talk to the internal manager!

Some could be org health related - cut a role and then repost it at a lower level
Companies often cut roles in one team while hiring for different skills or departments.
US Citizens are laid off and H1Bs and H4 EADs have jobs which is absurd
