All orgs will be affected?

Can't stand this place or my job. I hope to make the list.

@fb 1 week for each you worked + 1 extra free week of severance pay. Got laid off from a OCI team. Found a contract job in October for 50% haircut.

2 weeks for the first year and 1 week per year thereafter. 3-weeks of Cobra. My RSUs did VEST but I returned almost 60% of them 😩.

Can any of the September layoff folks share your package? How long did you receive health insurance before must start cobra? Dental and vision? Severance pay? I am generally ready but just want as much detail as possible. A little nervous yet hoping to make the list.

6 months since being laid off after over 30 years with the company. Thank God for the severance pay. I finally landed a position this month that is a 180 from my work at Oracle and 1/3 of the pay.. and I’m so excited! I didn’t even look for similar work. It was exhausting and so stressful at Oracle there towards the end. It was time.

@dz
COBRA is 1 month in U.S. You can expect to start paying $2,500+ per month for every month thereafter…

@OP I had enough last September and asked my manager to put me on the list. No regrets.

Gosh I want to put my name up... What is the Cobra/HealthCare Benefits, is that six months as well?

30+ Years w/ combined companies. No raise in 4 years. Bonus down Y/O. And Fiscal over Fiscal. Exhausted.

Can collect SSN in Nov but now Trump is trashing stock market.

@b1 Don't forget to apply for unemployment. You can get it even when collecting Social Security

You dont even have to give any notice.
just start working at your new role. so that you get paid at oracle until your onboarding at your role is done. During pandemic a ton of employees dis multiple gigs.

@az The old advice was 6 months of emergency fund expenses. But I personally don’t feel safe with less than a year of expenses. But because I’ve been living incredibly frugal I have years of money saved away. This will keep me afloat to change career, like into nursing or something.

@a3 I was let go in September too. I had been there for over 25 years, so got the full 26 week (six months) severance. Living on that and Social Security so far. That severance is a godsend. Oh yeah, still haven't found a job. Good for you for finding another job so quickly! You're missing out on a whole new level of he-l that is the job market and I'm so happy for you. 😊

I hope I am laid off. Oracle is not a real software engineering company. Their code and software architecture is trash.

I hope you’ve got a 6-month fund and lots of years. Many colleagues from Sept ‘25 RIF have still not found jobs. I had been with Oracle 2 years so my package was 3-weeks. I was fortunate to start at another company the day after separation. I hope you’re that fortunate. EAP benefits are available too.
