We can do tech layoffs, that’s fine. Tech is too bloated.
Unfortunately that’s not going to fix Nike.
We need some hot product and strong marketing. Until that happens, nothing even begins to get better.
Ugly shoes with ba--s on the bottom or Jordan’s with 3 soles are not going to cut the mustard.

@e4 The same could be said for design, marketing, product, etc. Tech is no more bloated then the product creation side of the business. A lot of the roles in tech are because Nike is big now, and regulatory requirements have massively expanded since the "good ol' days"
We were able to manage complex technologies 10-20 years ago with a handful of engineers and managers who put their heart and soul to build what business wanted. Now Tech is over bloated with DWO, AI and what not and still with so many engineers, principals, managers, directors, product managers, TPM they are unable to deliver what the business wants. I REPEAT Nike is not a tech company. Spend your money wisely on designing shoes!

You could easily halve the tech budget with no discernible impact to performance.
Prove me wrong.
There is a lot to be fixed in product creation and how we track our business growth which needs to change. Accountability for failure is completely missing.
@aa stay with me on this… four soles on Jordan’s. Now that’s an idea.
Bring back Dolphin shorts!
Se-y, cute, fun.

While we are at it look at the two year long product creation process to but three soles on a Jordan and the ridiculous number of “business people” tripping over each other with PPT decks
