Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

A Tale of Two CEOs

John Stankey: Hey, watch me singlehandedly reduce DIRECTV to a hobbling mess, and turn HBO into a punchline, all while crippling AT&T with massive debt, the inability to compete with Verizon and T-Mobile, and keeping our stock below $25 per share.

Elon Musk: Hold my beer ...

I guess the moral is there actually is a worse CEO out there than stink.

Who would have guessed!

Get your facts straight, the loss of 30 - 40% of pension applies to all management but only a few or maybe just legacy T Union contract(s). Union employees also will get their pension and severance based on years of service, per their contracts if terminated. Now one can see the value of a contract. It’s also one of the pros belonging to a union which is just a group of employees trying to get fair compensation and benefits so they don’t take it in the shorts when management runs amuck. SBC/AT&T is example A in that category!

As lower and middle management can attest the last few years, it’s a take what we give you, if you don’t like it then leave, despite policies when you hired on at the beginning of your career. They are changing it for many right before or near retirement. C-suite management and the board hasn’t had any accountability for all the poor and outrageous decisions. The new mission statement now reads, If you don’t like the policy changes and layoffs this month, wait till next!

SBC/AT&T has convoluted policies and contracts due to all the acquired companies during the reign of Whitacre, Stephenson and Stanky’s empire building. A historic lesson in how not to run a corporation!

5-5-5 is not an option. You will be fired with no severance and no pension before that happens. With 30+ years you have already lost 30-40% of your pension soon by not retiring. You obviously aren't financially smart. Good luck to you and make better decisions with your life in the future Tonto.

say what you want about Elon and I am not fan because he wants chips in humans but what he is doing at twitter is great for sovereign Americans.

don't like the term deep state but the grip they have on the citizens has to stop.
they ki---d a president and nothing happened to them except they got more power. will they have to met with the same force?
now they are interfering in elections and controlling who represents us.

it is no wonder they didn't want someone who wasn't a compromised career politician as president.

the question is what are the people that supposedly represent us, law enforcement, and military going to do? will they honor the oath they took to the constitution? you know that part about enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC.

Well, I don’t give 2 sh!ts who’s in charge as long as that 5-5 and 5 offer that’s on the table rolls around in March. I’ve got 31 years and am ready to go.

I've been cutting and pasting this same old complaint for years. Got it saved. It never gets old.
