Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Severance

Can anyone share severance amount in terms of months given? We should help each other in terms of fairness. I know there are difference regulations by countries, so if you could just share the amount you received and whether there is a formal regulation about severance in your country.
Thank you.

@1dq iirc it changed around the time of the pandemic. I think it’s 2 weeks of pay per year but there’s a cap based on your level; they also got rid of paying out your remaining PTO.

In US my offer was 4 weeks. I write a response requesting more but was denied citing the severance policy. I had no idea there even was a severance policy.

In speaking of Severence- this is a great show if you need a job hunting distraction.

Wow, DFW employees really getting the shaft on severance vs MVD and KRK!

What is the policy for BLR and LON employees? Worse than DFW or better?

In Uruguay, law regulation is one month of gross salary per year, maximum 6 years but Sabre used to give an additional month.

@a8 back in the 2021 cuts it was 2 weeks for every year up to 18 months IF you took the package. After the final date for accepting the pkg there were stiff layoffs.

Any major corporation has even more generous benefits and layoff packages.

In KRK it was between 4 (less than 2 years of service) and 8 (8+ years) monthly salaries assuming you agreed on immediate termination.
