I have seen the futute of AI and ML and it doesn't include you. If you work in the desktop/server space, probably the lower levels of networking, then its time to retrain for a new career outside of IT.
Sorry to be blunt but your roles are already being automated by better companies than DXC, companies that have invested in AI and ML from early on.

DXC are going to automate Excel and PowerPoint.
This is going to be incredible.
No longer are you going to have to create those pointless documents, they are going to be created by AI.
This is truly the breakthru that DXC has been looking for, to entirely run a global "business" on Excel and Powerpoint without humans creating these documents.
And thats all thats needed. The creation.
Nobody is going to read them, just like now.
Its not the reading, its the creating thats important.
Other organisations invested in systems and processes years ago; we’re still relying on emailed spreadsheets and managers manually chasing updates. Instead of fixing the foundations, more layers of bloat keep getting added on top.
I came into this genuinely trying to tidy things up, but eventually you reach a point where you realise it isn’t a technical problem — it’s an organisational one. At that stage, stepping back is a rational choice, not a failure.
If leadership decides to change direction and modernise properly, great. If not, the outcome is fairly predictable.
