Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

A lesson learned the hard way

I thought moving to a giant like BNY would accelerate my career. Instead, it's stalled it. The regret is so deep I'm actively trying to reverse course after just 18 months. The supposed "prestige" and extra cash mean nothing when you're miserable every day.

Lesson learned. Update your resume and find something else before this place grinds you down. It may take some time, but that will make your time in position look better. Use this as a stepping stone and get to solid ground. Good luck.

Think about those that have been here longer . . we have the same level of regret (maybe more) but without the cash. It is so painful to see the new folks come in at a much higher salary than those of us that have been here for many years. Good Luck finding your way out.

You gained extra cash at BNY? You must have been in poverty prior
