@OP: average is the Honeywell goal. Lead in nothing but at the same time don’t be at the bottom. This comes to benefits, compensation, enablers, ethics, performance reviews. This gets reflected in the caliber of employees Honeywell attracts and retains, performance on contracts, and management down to the average paint jobs/plumbing we get in the buildings every two or three years. All this makes Honeywell look no longer like an American company; this is not the culture that sent men to the moon.
@ka They say things like Honeywell is the best company I worked for. Can I suggest pay decreases as a way to pay you back for your inspiring leadership?
@jx how do you not know who VK is? Our leadership team is crucial for executing the spin and we need people that are pro Honeywell driving that activity.
@jx In my 25 yrs here, not a single time did someone ask for salaries not keeping with infalation in a townhall meeting or something about layoffs, or lack of growth or why Honeywell stock is not keeping up wit indexes... Every question is sterilized to make leadership look good. That tells me it heavly moderated... so no point of attending kool aid town hall meetings...
Who is VK? All executives at this company sound exactly the same … honestly get nothing from insipid self congratulatory town halls.
Honeywell runs on Say Do metric! Remember VK mentioned it in his first town hall, he always sees the glass half full. Honeywell is performing well on Say and miserable on Do. VK’s focus is not on Do and he revealed upfront so you cannot complain. That is why he still have these jokers working on accelerator and corporate led programs that add ZERO to the top line but gets a line share from the bottom line.
If Honeywell did half if the things we claimed to we’d be a high performing company.
real lives depend on disciplined business performance. I hold some stock and for that reason I expect VK to build long term value and outperform the other options available. Given current performance Honeywell lags peers and the market in general. PIP needed.
