Because so few companies are truly hiring American workers. AI and Indians rule the day. Also- age discrimination is huge these days. So many companies are laying off that there are ghost/fake jobs postings. Everyone and their mother has an “accounting” degree and are “going for their Master’s”-zzzzzz. There is no way to stick out from everyone else and there are so few real jobs paying a living wage.
