There was no communication to local employees regarding this snowstorm. The only email notification we got was an email that I saw this morning when I logged in. Why would they send an email to our work address when we’re not logged on during the weekend…. makes no sense.

It’s because they don’t actually care about employees. There is the annual communications meeting in Pittsburgh this week (Weds and Thurs) for the ~important~ people. They are still holding the meeting in person even though the city of Pittsburgh has declared a state of emergency and many roads are still heavily snow covered. Downtown roads are particularly horrendous! Continuing to hold this meeting in person is essentially encouraging many employees to commute into the city. Sorry if your kids have school canceled - you must still attend this meeting in person! Followed by a co-ktail reception. Sure, let’s give our employees drinks and then have the local folks drive home in this weather!
