Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Layoffs

Does anyone realize once you are laid off you will not be rehired. Doesn’t matter who you know. There is a systematic shift to not rehire. Make sure you are good to go for years before letting go of your job!

The lunatic leading my former area had that policy because they took it personally when people left for being treated poorly.

Yep, fake info from the OP. Crazy thing is, I’ve seen people laid off only for another manager try and recruit that person back 3-6 months later. Some come back and some don’t.

Not entirely true. You can reapply after a year.

Though, why would you.

Maybe they said that to you because you spread rumors and false information. And maybe consider the difference between “laid off” and “letting go of your job”. Being laid off isn’t a choice and it’s often not performance related. “Fired” is a different story.

We’ve had many in our area re-hired.

Don’t think that’s true. I know someone in our area that was laid off and was rehired.
