Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I like to point out the facts occasionally….

Charlie joined WFC on October 21, 2019

Wells Fargo stock price on Oct 21, 2019 = 50.50
Wells Fargo stock price today = 41.19 🔻

DJIA on Oct, 21, 2019 = 26,747
DJIA today = 32,920 📈

The results after 3 years of Charlie as CEO:

The DJIA is UP 6000 points (📈 23%)
And yet…
WFC stock is DOWN 9 points (🔻18.5%)

Just trying to figure out WHO is benefitting from Charlie’s leadership (other than Charlie)(and Charlie’s friends …) ???

Certainly not our shareholders.
Certainly not our employees.
Certainly not the US job market.

Nothing but negative results, plus Wells Fargo is still under the Federal Asset Cap.

At some point in time, someone has to ask the question:

Is our Board of Directors fulfilling their fiduciary responsibility??

“He’s the only guy who would accept the job” is no longer an appropriate, rational or logical answer.

So many of the Board members are on about 3-5 different boards for various companies. I have to wonder whether they really give a F about WF. Whether we succeed or fail is really not of much consequence to them. They likely aren't still working because they don't have enough in their 401k.

Mary Mack will not be a good CEO right now period. You need a change agent type and she's a long timer, and strikes me as soft. Wells Fargo needs a hard hitter that disrupts this toxic culture full of whiners and complacency.

I hear what you're saying, but you really should be comparing to XLF.

Yeah, the stock price being down 18% in a time when real world inflation is well over 10% is a nasty doubly whammy. It's tanking harder then it looks. The Board's solution? Bigger bonuses for everyone in Hudson's Yard! What a cluster and what madness. They should fire all these clowns and put Mack in charge.

Being an executive is a lucrative job if you can get it.

Because, just like our whole current administration, no one in the C-suite is qualified or cares.
