As someone who actually sold "ratings" contracts to clients over a two decade time period, I find this interesting. I will say that many years ago when Nielsen had different management and market circumstances, upper/middle mgt was fairly sensitive to Nielsen's position in the market (aka monopoly) and did show a lot of flexibility with clients on pricing and contract terms. I personally fought very hard for my clients to get the best pricing available and would push mgt as much as I could. But on the other hand I took a lot of bullets for them as a client facing employee while they hid behind their computers...which in the end probably did more damage to my career than good. Lol. So with that said, I have no symphaty for the current buch of exec hacks.
