Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Penny’s 2026 Raise

Given that Penny has averaged 16-17% for her annual raises the past few years, what do we bet she’ll get for 2026?

I’ll set the over/under at 16.5%. Are you betting higher or lower than that?

Happy betting, y’all 🤠

@js the GPs let go over the summer got a nice payout and were also the ones who were the most vocal/old guard mindset. It was nothing more than a house cleaning and warning shot to the others that they better conform VS perform. Need all GPs in line for the eventual signoff or vote on the future merger

@as she has not cut deadweight.we have plenty of GPs that cant perform. Gp look under KJ’s area and you will find plenty going down to the sr directors that they just promoted. Just one example. Look under chubakka and you can find more.

@as lolol she completely destroyed a great company in record time while creating a culture of yes men. Raises and promotions are now based on comformance VS performance while every marker/goal this past year failed. Morale at home office is all time low. Like a bunch of angry zombies wondering around waiting for the next shoe to drop or townhall where we all get gaslit. EDJ will be a case study one day in business schools of what NOT to do when your are put in charge of a company. Bringing people into an office is the biggest waste of time and people's sanity. Only busy body GPs who do nothing of value care about RTO because THEY themselves have zero value and need to feel relevant as they watch the worker bees do "the needful"

Penny has cut dead weight and brought people back to the office. Definitely closer to 30%. She is doing the need full

@ap If you look at some of the most popular ponzi schemes out there we are not to far off the timeline of where everything appears to be "great". Behind the scenes they are quietly getting ready for the house of cards to fall but need the illusion to continue for a little longer while the higher ups plan their exit strategy. This new LP offer coming will be nothing more than a quick cash infusion to keep the act going a little longer before penny pulls the plug

@ad How is the firm succeeding if we are falling behind our competitors and are forced to lay thousands off?

@ae Shouldn’t that be tied to chubakka and hasan?

@ad too bad her performance pay isn't tied to Project 2030, since EJ is failing every meaningful objective.

15% but she will claim she has to sacrifice just like the rest of us...then sometime in T1 more "unexexpected" layoffs will be announced with demotions. *insert penny's fake sad face
