Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

New MN Paid Leave Policy

Every MN based employee could apply for the new policy and receive up to 20 weeks PTO. This is going to be abused more than Charlie Sheen’s nose.

@bw Medtronic is full of people that are so far left leaning that they don’t care about fraud as much as they care about pronouns.

Su-ks, everyone of the MN tax payers will be kicking in a chunk of cash to fund this nightmare to come. The fund will be broke in 1 year and the cost will continue to rise... SMH

Honestly, good for minnesota. Wish we had this policy in more places. I cant count the number of days ive worked when I should've stayed home to tend to my health or to my kids health.

That being said, I would never use this as it would require me to take a 60% pay cut each day its used (this would be considered unpaid leave by medtronic), but glad that some will be able to live healthier, happier lives.

Get off fox news and stop being a crab in a bucket.

The factory and lower paid workers will use it constantly. Why not? You can literally take every Wednesday off to go to a doctor's appointment for your migraines (example on MN website)!

But max payout is $1400 per week so the fancy office types aren't as likely to take the paycut.
