I am with you. They need to get rid of more stores. They give us a bad name. It is as if they are run by pirates.

Weird to wish for layoffs but they are definitely coming and the later waves will really be sc--wed in this job market. Next up call listening teams, unnecessary management layers, slimming of all operations.

The problem with the last lay off is, they kept their favorites. They let management decides who to let go when the people who should be left go are the leaders. They were the ones who made bad decisions. They need to overhaul the company, start from the top. Nothing will change if they keep the same leaders.

I would assume the next one will be a buyout. If it is, I think I am going to take it. I have never feared for my job, and not sure that I will ever have to, but I don't want to do this anymore. I came in a handful of years after Vodaphone and Bell decided to have this party, and I have quite a few more left in me. I have seen the limited Qwest buyout, the RCC/Altell purchase. I remember the glory days of when Ivan ran the company, and was pleasantly surprised by Lowell. Then I had to live through the Marxist that is Hans, and his Verizon 2.0 disaster. I think I have suffered enough. I'm taking everything with me too. The price was too high. All the talent is gone, mostly replaced by cheap, English butchering labor, with many of the really important roles being abandoned forever. Ignored by the ignorant narcissism that plagues leadership today. If you have been around as long as I have, you see that this company isn't any different than every other story that is almost over. I suppose everything ends. I never thought it would be like this. Not all at once.

What a selfish comment. If you don't want to be there, then quit. To wish for more layoffs, that could negatively impact thousands of employees, so you can get your payout, is cruel and selfish. Take some accountability and quit and find a better job elsewhere if you're unhappy.

Ditto

I’m sorry that I didn’t get laid off. The thought of wondering what’s coming next is unsettling.

Union, and non-Union.

Time to clean house, and to streamline; and to get the "politicals" out-of-here at every level

Out-of-here, excess headcount; and personnel expense.
