12/15 is now behind us and the employee reduction was minimal, not even worth a mention. Moving forward into the next year of course, will be a different story altogether!
It was mentioned on a Legg meeting that his group would expect at least a 400-500 head count reduction which is what was expected this go around. If that's the prognosis for the future, then management beware.
From an overall company standpoint, 100 is very insignificant, merely a handful of represented employees. I don’t know who Leggier is, never heard of him nor do I care about his business unit. I only care about how many employees companywide are impacted! That’s what Wall Street wants to know cuz they couldn’t care less about Legg!
OP writer from Texas adds there's only under 2,500 Leg T CWA workers and if 100 get the VTP offered today, that's about 2.5% of we workers so that's relatively important and significant. Best of luck to those getting the VTP and hopefully there's more voluntary packages offered in March.
Dude, what's with all the anger on this site? BFD, so you were right, now here's a quarter$, see what being right and that quarter with get you! It's no big deal, it was only 80 people out of what, 73,000 bargained for employees within ATT! That's approximately a 1000th of 1 percent of the total employees, essentially not even worth mentioning cuz it doesn't matter! It's like not even offering a VTP because only a select handful were even given the offer. Get offer it you small minded d1mw1t!
@the doosh bog fk trd who called the OP numbnuts and other names: I am lmfao @ u you pof! There was indeed a VTP offered today to 80 workers in 7 offices and that was the initial offer. After workers put in for it, the company usually always allows more people to take it than the cap, so it will likely be well over 100 will get it, which is up to 104 weeks pay as an incentive to leave. Plus their up to 5 weeks vacation for 2023. You've been saying this won't happen so you are wrong! Haha... gfy
Looks like 10 Comm Techs offered VTP in Dallas and 3 in Chicago, but none of them surplused. VTP also offered to some clerical and account rep jobs in other locations.
2 years vtp here in dallas is what i heard for t comm techs is being offered not backed by surplus
AT&T realizes they have time on their side. Some of the vaccinated folks will start dropping like flies and it will all takes care of itself.
So, I got sucked in by this BS and decided to verify. Watched the recording of this townhall. None of this was said….
T needs to allow the personnel that want to leave and no longer want to deal with the constant turmoil that ATT has created for its employees to leave with dignity! That would be to poll all of its employees, management or craft and ask them directly if they want to stay or leave. If they want to leave, make them an offer of some sort and quit phucking them around year after year after year. T continuously keeps its employees on pins and needles worrying about layoffs year after year! This is the cruelest, least compassionate, least humane company I've ever heard of. It never ends!
to save hundreds of jobs in the ofc. they need to audit work from home people and fire them if they have abused their privileges
I think they will surplus some offices, but not until 1st quarter 2023.
There are other job titles in addition to ComTechs that are entitled to the 104 weeks pay if laid off from T if they have 31 years or more of service. That's why it's difficult for me to fathom T paying out that kind of money to a large group of technicians. I believe T would rather wait it out and let the techs retire on their own and save the company money!
I think the OP may be referring to a possible surplus declaration affecting comm techs. Anyone in that job title with 31+ years seniority get 104 weeks severance
Same numbnutz keeps insisting there will be some miraculous offer every few days, but everyone knows those offers were long gone two decades ago.
There are job ads out for Leg-T NTS techs. No surplus here.
Same old numb nutz saying no offers not now, no way, no how. Think his pant ies are too tight.
Once again, I repeat, There will be NO offers to retire earlier than you had originally planned!
There will be no offers.
