@qz The new VP has a phone company background.
They are keeping CenturyLink fiber. Not all states are involved.
@qr given Lumens track record.. do you think the new VP has any actual clue as to what they are talking about, or are they just a puppet reading from the company provided script, with the intention of placating the nervous employees and leading them on until they are of no more use to the company!
@pr Not according to the new VP. You must have missed that.
They still have states that aren't involved in the sale. Plus the CenturyLink fiber customers.
@ny
huh?
@ny news flash.. mass markets is going away!
@hh Which is why they are keeping CenturyLink fiber customers.
Mass markets is still there.
Don’t believe the hype. Lumen doesn’t consider its self a public utility, at least it certainly doesn’t act like one…
Sadly the most Honest thing Lumen has done in the past few years is to sell off Quantum and acknowledging they can’t meet the needs of the customer. Which is also lumen openly abandoning any future investment in mass markets. That move right there should tell you everything that you need to know!
Level 3 and high end enterprises is the future of lumen. Not your grandmothers DSl or the independent insurance agent in the strip mall!
@e6
Apparently not everyone. Did you read the original post shi..t for brains?
@dm boo fricking hoo. Everybody works fridays and Saturday now after a holiday.
@dm count your blessings! The train is coming off the tracks,
Must be nice. Many of us will be working Friday and Saturday.
Lumen’s desired customer base will be closed as well.. to clue you in those would be enterprise customers on Fiber!
Lumen isn’t concerned with retaining those pesky mass market and small biz customers along with the few remaining copper feed enterprise customers out in the hinterland…
@OP it’s called a holiday.
