Now that the storm has calmed I found out verizon has no heart! They laid off a girl in my territory who is 8 months pregnant! She was the only person affected in her location!! She is a couple weeks away from going on fmla and was just told she no longer will have a position after she gives birth! I am sad, angry, and disgusted by this decision.

So she should get special treatment because she was pregnant? We all have s-b stories. What if thr statement was "was rif while on chemo, or rif because i was old, etc". All those need a heart too
As someone who was 7 months pregnant and Rifd, no case. In my situation it was minimizing GMs in 2021. I was on leave due to pregnancy concerns and paid until maternity and parental leave expired. I had to solidify a job within during that time and did. Here I am, 4 years later still employed.

she should’ve produced better numbers! she clearly was bad at her job. no food to feed that baby’s mouth now! better sell perks next time and stop trying to save these d-mb customers money! slam them

VZ only cares about shareholder/stock value and they couldn't care less about the people. I was RIF'd in 2015 after 35 years because my pay was at the top of my band. All those sc--wed over by VZ , hang in there and know you are not the only ones. You will get by and the pain will lesson.
For all those sh!t posting when someone comes on here to vent, remember, your time will come and you also will need to vent. Have a little compassion and offer support. This is likely one of the worst things to go through and until you do, you have no clue just how bad it is.
