@a8 Because your location < 50 people were removed.
So here is the update i got from HR: WARN policy was triggered in CA walnut creek and CA irvine but not CA san jose location. This is so cruel on their part!!!
@a8 Then they weren't required to give a WARN. You don't think HR knows what they are doing after close to 30 consecutive years of RIFs? 30 days is standard off payroll time.
Well depends. The reality is Verizon is broken into a whole bunch of smaller companies. So it depends on what company you worked for exactly and how many were rifd for that company I think.
PA 60 days required per warn they gave 30
California has a WARN Act requiring employers to provide at least 60 days' written notice for mass layoffs, plant closures, or major relocations for companies with 75 or more employees. For individual layoffs, the law requires employers to provide written notice at the time of separation.
I just got the email for the webx. Nothing else. Just waiting.
