140 Laid off in Springfield

Wells Fargo lays off 140 employees in its home lending division in Springfield. The layoffs occurred as part of the decision to exit Correspondent.

The article wasn't completely accurate though, because they actually didn't get official notice on 1/11. The day the news hit that WF was exiting Correspondent, was the first they had heard of it. They had a call where they were told don't worry, it's not a layoff notice. They knew it was coming, but didn't know when.
