Curious to know how many received an increase as a result of an "Equity Review"???

There will always be "equity" issues because new hires keep coming in at higher comp. It's almost impossible to keep everything equal
A friend at another company got a spontaneous equity adjustment and was overjoyed.
Then she got another one 3 years later. The problem was clearly systemic since it kept occurring given her ratings and contributions were the same as her peers. Sadly it still happens, despite these additional efforts.
Technically, isn't every raise considered an equity review?
I got an equity increase--years ago....when we had finance mgrs in LOBs--they determined I was paid far less than my peers!
Not to be a downer, but doubt that will ever happen again
Sadly no, there are no laws against underpaying unless it's below minimum wage or directly the result of discrimination against a protected group (e.g. I'm paying you 50% less because I think that people of your gender / race / religion deserve a lower salary).
Wouldn't that be an admission that you were illegally underpaid in previous years?
