Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Branch personnel

Some significant cuts are coming to the branches. The Bank moves toward a “Universal Banker,” which will replace the tellers. Also, branch closures will speed up at a rapid pace. Which means overall leadership will be reduced. Cutting 3B this year will have a drastic impact on the bank.

We have universal bankers yes, but we also have tellers that make like $1 less per hour but can do about 1/4 of the tasks.

If staffing gets any leaner, we will run branches with one person.

"who goes into a branch anymore?"

I imagine the elderly and others who struggle with or have limited access to technology.

We have had universal bankers for over a year now. My branch literally had 4 employees right now. And no we are not a slow branch. We are very profitable. This is not sustainable

FINALLY universal bankers. I’ve been calling for this for almost a decade now. Why did this take so long?

This is going to basically solve ever problem/staffing issue/customer service issue that Branch Banking currently has.
