Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

ALEX- be warned come fall

I used this * tool this year because rates went up so much that I thought maybe this tool they kept shoving down our throats would help show me I didn’t need the plan I was on previously, or tell me to stay put. It told me to switch, with my same number of visits and scripts I had last year as my utilized scenario. And again with a more risky scenario I made up if I went more often.

So so so wrong. I’ve paid more out of pocket in 3 weeks for just one appointment and 4 scripts than I “saved” on my premium.

Going to be one long * year. What a scam.

So much for addressing my health needs. This place and country sucks.

  1. Make sure you are using an in-network provider and 2) you probably have a high deductible, right? Make sure you do all the activities to get the money from Wells for your HSA.

@eog While I agree narrow network can be cheaper if you don’t use it, my narrow network provider (rhymes with fetnuh) keeps denying my claims. Currently fighting a bill around $2k for a cancer screen they told my doctor’s office didn’t require a pre-with from them, now they say they won’t pay for. They did something similar last year, too, but then had it “re-reviewed” after I called enough times. If someone without savings or an HSA had to pay $2k for one procedure, that’d be quite a setback. I might go back to just not seeing a doctor & if the cancer takes me, at least I won’t be working here anymore.

Is there even a meaningful difference between high premium/lower deductible and low premium higher deductible plans? You either have the forced spending through premiums, or a potential spend through increased deductible. It seems like those to plans are a wash in the long run.

I’m sorry you’re a grown adult, maybe you should actually compare the plans and coordinate from there. There’s no one else to blame but yourself. I wish you luck, but why haven’t you called EAC to discuss ?

You've always had an appointment and four different prescriptions? My goodness. That should have told you right there. Sounds like you have high medical needs.

I don't care what that tool says. All it takes is one bad accident.

Zoom out an figure out what your max healthcare costs will be for the whole year, not just the first 3 weeks.
