In office expectations

Laid out in the tech manager call

Managers regardless of hierarchy in 3x weekly
Non agile workers follow 2/3 model
All of this will be tracked back to performance goals. Holidays and PTO count toward meeting your weekly quota. Oh and “be thankful “ as tech is the most flexible of all groups. Managers have to attest to understanding.

Happy Thursday.

This isn’t news. These were the guidelines presented at least a year ago for tech, and reiterated by Saul in his last AMA. I know our leadership in TI tried telling us that all of tech was going to be required to be in 3 days a week, and then backtracked when Saul reiterated the current guidelines in his last AMA, so I know changes for agile teams are imminent and more talent will walk out the door.

How much PTO though? Are they counting the number of hours, or is it just any amount of PTO? I am also using PTO to not go in 3 days a week. A co-worker was talking about using even less PTO than what I am doing, so curious how other groups are treating it.

We, in another LOB heard today that 5 days is more on the line than ever. Very very possible, across the board.

I like that there’s no teeth for hourly, non-bonused workers.

What are they gonna do give me a paltry raise? Joke’s on you… you’ve been giving me paltry raises for years, I’m used to this $h!t.

2/3 means in two days one week, three the next. Tech managers invited to the call is all levels under Saul per the question earlier.

I’ll run the numbers after bonuses come out. If by performance they mean I take a $2000 cut in bonus it might be worth it to stay at home. My costs to commute will be way more than $2k.

What about those 40+ miles away from the office?

If I didn’t live 5 miles from my office I wouldn’t be going in either.

Not going in 3. Guess I have to waste all my PTO so I can avoid the stupidity and complete waste of time. I will outlast these mo--ns in NYC, it's my mission, and in the end I will be victorious and their reign of te---r will be known as the "bad times" to be a WF employee. Have heart friends, they won't last forever. 2 more years tops.

Interesting how they changed so many in tech to “non agile” teams in the registry which forces all to the 2/3 model rather than the special ceremonies in office

We were told if we do not do 3 days then we will be pulled in 5 days and then fired. I literally despise this company - putting in my retirement papers.

"Tech Manager"

That's rather vague. What level was this at?

I'll believe this when I see it. Sucks to be a manager if true.

some of our tech mangers will really enjoy this type of micro managing and will enjoy reprimanding those who are not compliant
