Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Stock buybacks, but no meaningful raise.

Q4 financial results call indicates that they’ll begin stock buybacks in Q1.

I’ve read on here they’re doing 3% for an exceeds rating, meaning everyone is making less… unless, of course, you get paid mostly in shares.

  1. 8% is the total pool given to managers and includes promotion raises so don't expect much more than 2% for anyone not getting promoted.

@3szs+1kFKYj7a Do you mind saying which LOB you support? TCOO team and I was told to expect 2.5 tops.

Weird, no one in my team got under 3%, and we're not some flashy tech or big profit group either.

@1chl+1kFKYj7a Maybe for herself lol. Managers have the merit #s - no one over 2.9% on my team.

Considering that the pool was larger than 3%, if you're getting 3% for an exceeds it only means you're at the top of the pay range already.

@jcn I guess we’ll see, but if I get 1-2% again, I’ll be mighty interested to know where the rest is going.

There’s no need for a merit increase if someone’s getting the axe.

$353 million severance I’m the quarter, think they said 10-11% workforce reduction since 2020.

I did hear M Santa mention, during some comments on expenses, some $ related to merit increases associated with inflation and then expenses related severance. Here's your merit increase and there's the door!

So other than that Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?

  1. 8% is the merit pool. I would bet those with exceeds and plus get more
