I got my 40 and spliff ready for mlk weekend. Time to party with the my homies. Say word.
It starts in February and continues for a while. Prepare for it financially and make sure your resume is up to date and work your network to know what is out there.
Tomorrow is earnings - they have a fiduciary duty to tell shareholders in conf call and earnings announcement.
So, tomorrow we will know a lot more.
Might be a little time longer as they wind down operations.
They have to make a big bang announcement like that due to leaks and rumors. I bet even a lot of senior manager didn't know. Better that everyone knows at once.
@qtv+1kEt1lyb No way they make an announcement like that and that many people being displaced at once. It'll be slower and more methodical so they can continue to keep the number of layoffs under the radar and out of the press as much as possible.

It seems to me they should have the decency to let the people impacted know first, but then that's not how Wells operates.
Don't hope for layoff - it really is not fun.
After my layoff I am shocked every bank I interviewed is filled with young analysts from China.

Apparently a host of team members were blindsided by Tuesday's announcement and found out about our exiting the Correspondent business (which they support) via mass company e-mail.
Not cool, Wells. Not cool.
Iowans are about to pay thru the nose
for Rep Cindy Axne legislation bill she propose
"Disclose where your global employees where at!"
Her constituents complain bank sewer rat
Telling her their jobs left overseas in droves
Then mortgage employees in Iowa they collude
Forming a union; Charlie say "thats so rude!"
Instead of helping the employees provision
Charlie said "Shut down the entire division!"
And now 13000 employees soon real bad mood.
And this is the American corporate way
Its US labor they hate; Indians ok
Very hard it has become to not be cynic
But working corporate jobs any more its no picnic

I have a dream....a dream of being laid off so I can get a wonderful severance package and run away with this dumpster fire.
Suspect the number of persons impacted will be announced tomorrow during the earnings release conference call. Analysts will expect answers as to the size and scope of the persons that will be let go after announcing the cuts in mortgage lending. Got to think a minimum of 10,000 will be announced but not sure when they will take place.
