Why does job application status show “ candidate withdrew” which candidate did not withdrew, asked HR help, they said HR does not withdrew for applicants, not sure what happened. Anything to do with hiring freeze or this position was terminated?

WF recruiting is a joke it's pointless applying for a job internally when the job is already spoken for and they make candidates go through fake interviews just so that they can check the boxes and say they went through the process. The Bloomberg article was accurate however these practices go beyond impacting black candidates. It's widespread and impacts everyone especially the senior and executive level roles. And forget about it if you are a minority and you are not the preselected candidate for the job they will have you go through rounds and rounds of interviews just to say that a diverse candidate of pool was considered to later just give the role to the candidate the manager already had in mind. Where's the head of HR on this topic? Conveniently has been silent on the topic and really anything of importance.
I withdraw at 3 weeks of no response. Duck them with an F
I think the recruiter usually sets that if you are in a location not approved for the role and have specified unwillingness to relocate. just a thought, but end of day just assume you didn't get the job and don't worry about it.

Somebody did, not candidate, that is why it is strange.
They probably read all the things on this board in relation to all the problems that WF is having and withdrew their application.
