The new reporting will track IP Addresses as well as badge swipes…hmm…

Don’t worry about reporting - WF has had Tableau for years and no one knows how to use it, let alone the long line of imbeciles that want different reports with no one to build them. All of this plus they will be inaccurate due to everything. Wells Fargo made commitments to the cities to bring back their employees to revitalize all of the services, businesses, restaurants, etc so they would get tax breaks.
This has not happened and Wells Fargo faces yet another debacle.
Your IP address is stamped on your "anonymous" employee survey. Trust? We've been gaslighted
Does WF carbon tax us for cropdusting?
@vzn - Yes the reporting tech has been in place forever, but leaders ALWAYS make it overly complex. They probably spent months changing the report....adding avgs by week, then month, then by organizing levels, then removing leave of absences, then distributing to 3 ups, but not for LOB X, and LOB Y wants contractors, etc. And then you factor in how many meetings leadership has had on this and all the time managers have had to answer questions from employees to which there are no clear answers. This thing has been a HUGE waste of time, to effectively get nowhere other than pi$$ing people off.
Why is so much time and effort spent on this by Wells? As a shareholder (of some very devalued stock), why can’t Wells just fix its stupid problems and move on? Stalking employees by their IP addresses? Seriously?
Why don’t they do something more useful with this technology to count how many times I cropdust the office a day.
they only want people to work from home when it benefits the company. they could cut off our vpn access tomorrow and force us into the office but they won't because they know nothing will get done.
If you think rto is bad now, just wait until the leaders read that other fin cos have moved to 4 days a week
We will be 4 or 5 days full time cube dwellers in no time
Hey, if they don't want me to WFH at all during in-office days, just say the damn word and I'll stop. The people running this place are ridiculously bad at this. Everything they do discourages hard work, when they should be trying to do the exact opposite.
How much time and money do you all think is really needed for this tech? Not much. It's always been there, all they need to do is run the query. It's not like there are 100 people writing down IP info by hand. If you all think that's crazy, you don't want to know much more because they can see all your Google searches, key strokes, etc
So much money and time invested to track RTO while core systems are dying. Mobile app already gives errors when accessing account information.
I know initial reporting last year had all kinds of issues like counting people as remote if they started the day on VPN at home. one of the reasons they paused things for a while as they had to figure it all out. still amazes me we get multiple rto threads each day. get over. come to the office or don't. your mileage will vary whether they say or do anything to do given the inconsistent and and non committal language of the guidance.
It’s always the ones complying without batting an eye that gets the rest of us into problems. Wake tf up.
Entitled dinosaurs, shut your fu----g mouth and stop doing everything you’re told and start questioning things. Just because law or policy says something is okay, does not always make it right. Get fu---d already.
Yes, some places don’t require badge swipes so they have to use IP. Doesn’t change what the reporting is. They aren’t going to look into hours in office. They can’t get people in 3 days a week you think they’re going to set the bar that high to not count if someone left before 6 hours? And no they’re not going to count it as a WFH day because you logged on from home. You really think they don’t want people working more?
Entitled youngsters. I remember when people did what their boss/ company told them to do, or they found a new job. If you’re told to be in the office 3 days, go to the office for 3 days.

This has been in place for a while now, not new news.
Wait until you hear about the geo location and tracking they are doing.
For me, tracking IP addresses is fine. OK sure. But reporting better not count a day as WFH if you connected via VPN at some point in the day, even if you went into the office with a badge scan. I already have early morning calls sometimes, which I take from home before going in to the office at a normal hour. I will be furious if that is counted as a WFH day just because internet activity showed I connected at home.
Good luck to all who are worried about layoffs.
it's a shame with all the changes happening that there is a team that has time to track IPs
Wait is this new?
Been that way for a year. Good job Colombo.
With all the sh--e going on right now, it's amazing to me that they're putting so much energy into RTO.
We're worried about the mortgage layoffs. RTO is the least of our concerns right now.
same as the old reporting
