Raises

It is getting close to the middle of Jan. When will we find out what our raise will be? Not interested in when it goes into effect just want to know what it will be.

Reviews are worthless and meaningless. It’s all about calibration and making sure the correct percentage of employees are in each bucket. If your whole team exceeds, too bad. You’ll need to draw straws so all but one or two can be meets.

@1vqq+1kCGUpSb that is what your scheduled 1on1’s and your mid-year are for. If you’re only getting feedback at the yearly review then it’s up to you to manage your manager. You need to initiate 1x1’s, document things in your mid-year, create your own paper trails then.

"What burns me about this review process is that we're only told if management has issue with us DURING THE REVIEW. If there's a problem, why can't they tell us during the year so we have time to correct it?

Their review process is counter productive."

That's just it, management not supposed to do that. As a former manager for WF in the early 2000's, we were told that reviews were not "Gotcha" moments. Nothing is supposed to come as a surprise. HR used to back that review requirement, not sure if they still do. You should be able to push back on your manager if they attempt to ding you on something you were never talked to prior to the review. They need to have the backup to support their rating throughout the year.

January 25 is the first day raise/bonuses can be disclosed. It will show on Feb 1 on your payslip on workday. Payment date is Feb 3.

Don't worry about raises this year. After Friday's earnings call you can expect to be told that your raise ans bonus has been affected by 4Q deterioration in the economy.

sign your review or not, all signing does is acknowledge receipt, has nothing to do with whether or not you agree with its content

hr wants perf discussions and comp discussions to be done separately and managers can start doing perf reviews on Jan 11 which is when they will be allowed to click submit in workday. comp is on a different timeline and isn't final and able to communicate until Jan 25. many managers, myself included, will do both at the same time between Jan 25 and Feb 1. I find this to be a better use of time and since comp is supposedly tied to perf it is a better segue between the two

I was told what score to give my one direct report at my previous employer. No input from me was even required. Reviews are just subjective garbage.

Get ready to see how much you’ve lost considering compounding inflation from 2021 and 2022.

The board is to approve on 1/24, then managers can communicate on 1/25

The thing to remember about reviews is that if you were not talked to about any of the negative aspects of your review prior to your review, then it should not be in the review. You can fight it if you want to. A review is just that, a review of your performance throughout the year, nothing should come as a surprise. If it does, and you deem it important enough, push back and don't sign until you involve HR. They may or may not do anything about it, but you effectively then put your manager on notice for saying something that was never discussed throughout the year.

It is funny we don’t care about the review results. Blah blah blah. Just tell me how much and when i get it. Personally they decide who is going to get a great review a mediocre and a bad review based on how much money they want to give people. I don’t believe what managers say in reviews. It is manipulative

the 25th is the earliest managers are allowed to communicate, there are timelines available on teamworks if you look. managers will get an email that day saying everything is final and that they can start communicating. they have until Feb 1 to do so
