100 billion dollars wasted on those two useless acquisitions!!!
Imagine that! Having 100 billion in the bank! thanks a lot you stupid randy!!
ATT is getting out of having field techs with this type of partnership. It is a lot more profitable long term.
Sooo much money to be made for contractors, just like in the early 2000's . What was old is new again. Graft doesn't doesn't even describe it correctly. The never ending piggy bank of AT&T and the kickbacks to former AT&T employees AKA "Contract Managers" .
Where we at on Airgig?
Air gig is on target to replace wireline and fiber data any day now ;). I know this because I watched the demonstration were they transmitted something from a egg shaped device, strapped to a sample of unpowered high tension primary transmission cable. The spectrum analyzer clearly showed something going on at the other side at only 8 feet away. It was garbage but hey, 8 feet is a start. Randell-- "THIS IS SCALABLE". The amount of smoke and mirrors that our former CEO sold the investors is criminal. We are all paying the price now.

Company squandered billions is needing to take on partners for investment. No doubt partner will take a hug cut of profit in return. This isn't a utility or "tech company" as some would claimed, it is a co-op with outsourced firms and partners taking bigger pieces of the pie. Stankey is the ceo in name only.
@1xjm+1kALSixD it will be maintained by Blackrock contractors.
Who will service and maintain the network outside of the “experimental” footprint? The head of Gigapower is an AT&T retread!!
Proven technology in the T network. Partnerships with money can be questionable.
Gigapower is one of the only 2 core strategies for ATT. There are only 2 areas of the business that are focused on growth, FIBER and WIRELESS. If you're not supporting either of those, be worried about long term employment T.

This one is actually something that AT&T knows how to do. Expanding out broadband is a good thing and any job that it saves union or management is a good thing!
They do need this. This is how you eliminate a unionized work force.
