It won’t happen overnight of course but it warrants pursuing.

I don’t care about getting mental health benefits. I’m not in gen Z
where do I sign up!
If you seriously think unions get you better pay and benefits than non-union jobs, you are sorely mistaken. If you want to be in a union so badly, go work somewhere else. See what it gets you. In a previous job I was a union member. It did nothing for me other than take dues (sizable amount) from my paycheck and force me into bargaining for things that weren’t even important to me personally… but I had to participate or be forced to strike (lose more money). And God forbid you don’t strike and decide to work… it is like a cult or angry mob after you. Careful what you wish for…
Years ago, I was in a union.
I got caught stealing and the union did nothing for me.
I lost my job making minimum wage and had to go find another, which I did the next day.
(The moral of the story is obviously, don't get caught.)
A union could help you get better benefits too. It could negotiate for a better mental healthcare package, if for example you had an untreated personality disorder that compelled you to ask and answer your own ignorant questions, while bragging about your salary on a layoff message board in the middle of the night on a Sunday, all in the service of making sure your coworkers don't get more money.
If I already make 130k, will a union help me?
Didn’t think so. But tellers may increase from 20/hour to 25/hour. Cool.
Unions result in better wages and fairer conditions. The commentors who say they're just paying an empty suit are brainwashed. Weekends, paid time off, sick leave, all of it is from unions.
I'm down
You're already working to make money for an empty suit who isn't looking out for you, might as well pay the small fee to earn even more with better benefits, it's a no-brainer.
Nobody comes to thelayoff because of how great it's going at Wells, despite how much the right wingnut trolls may want to flatter themselves about how hard they work and how they're totally not on the chopping block.
I am not paying anyone a monthly fee to be part of a system that has another empty suit working for themselves and not me.
Those that seek it are low performers. This just not the right company or industry.
Definitely, this has come up before on this board and an increasing amount of people are open to the idea. I’ve also seen a few people discussing it at work
SEERS incoming…
No. This conversation has been beaten to death in the past. There’s no support for it.
Ask me how to schedule your boosters.
