All of the anxious people posting lies here need to STOP

@ew plus all the coaching+PIP that pushes people out without actual cause and severance. That stuff is never reported.
@e9 layoff more hands-on people and promote more director and vps. It is the way
no large scale layoffs like in previous years. a couple hundred people is not newsworthy for an 90,000+ employee company unfortunately. as messed up as it sounds because those are couple hundred lives that just got turned upside down.
There are in fact layoffs. Consistently announced a day after the Earnings Call. Smaller number than usual but I can confirm it is real
Aged like milk
Thread starter you are an id--t. Cisco does it every single quarter. It is been ongoing initiative for years.
@OP SBG has been hit
@OP Good one Chuck
@a7
If earnings are good - they don't broadcast the LR, if earnings are bad, they do to show they are "committed to profitability". So LR's will/still do happen, it's just what does Cisco need the market to know/be thinking.
At Cisco's size, $147M in restructuring is just called "managing your business"
I'd rather see Cisco make multiple smaller strategic cuts vs huge thoughtless ones every couple of years.
$147M is only 735 ppl at $200k/person. If Cisco has 80k ppl, that's only 0.1%.
I must have missed the panic'd post here "omg guyz, Cisco LR'ing 0.1%!!"
Is it tomorrow or friday?
cant wait to see @OP LR Friday
@ag it is Friday morning, 11/14.
@OP the meeting invitation will be sent to you before Friday morning, 5 mins call with your leader or director if your leader also impacted.
@a2 Layoffs weren’t announced in Q4 2025 either and it still happened.
100% certainty there are LR’s happening tomorrow.
@a3 that was last quarter. Learn to read.
I will admit the % aren't always correct on this site, but there are definitely small ones that aren't communicated on earnings calls.
no layoffs this Q, all full time employees will be retained. contractors and h1b are so out of luck.
$147 millions - October 25,2025.
How does this date relate to "already happened"? Honest question, how are we inferring if this is past, present or future?
@a9 my bad
$147 millions - October 25,2025.
$665 millions - October 26, 2024
@a3
$147 millions was last year October 25,2025.
$665 millions - October 26, 2024
@a3 Those would have already happened in Q1. Not set aside for upcoming LRs in Q2.
They don't announce lrs any more.
Why not? other companies have no problem doing it
Yeah no new layoffs announced. The restructuring charge seems to be for costs in Q1 for layoffs already announced.
They don't announce lrs any more. go read the details in the reports and you'll find data that supports restructuring costs ..
Cisco is doing layoffs every quarter. People will find out tomorrow morning.
$147 millions reserved for restructuring….
Devil in details.
I won't call it a lie, CSCO did not announce layoffs in Q4 2024 but yet many people were let go in Security
