I was RA’d today
I went to the web a little while ago, typed “IBM,” and autocomplete added “layoffs” before taking me to a string of news articles.
Too early to report yet other than some unknown number of people getting the axe. Give it a day or two.
The news sites don't care any more about layoffs which have become so common that no one even raises an eyebrow (any more) when IBM lays of a few thousand (or even tens of thousands) of US employees. IBM is no longer a big name to reckon with either. After all, AI and Trump are putting lots of people out of work all over the US. The economy is not growing strong except for a few areas and that will likely continue for a while.
