@b1 This isn't trimming. We already have openings in India to replace people we let go from our team today. This is offshoring.
@b1 Covid was 5 years ago. Anyone using it as an excuse is a clown. They have hired a lot of people since then. I agree they do hire cr-ppy employees but that’s not always who’s being let go.
This is a new reality so embrace it.
It appears that companies brought more resources then needed during COVID and slowly they need to trim it to stay competitive a profitable so this is not surprise. This will continue through 2026 for sure. There were lots of trash came in which must be cleaned.

Logged in this morning and saw a 1:1 invite from my supervisor… for next month. Why would she scare me like that

@ah that’s what I thought but all of the people that would be getting laid off are in those distribution groups as well. They didn’t send to just individuals.
@a8 That sounds more like a 'survivors' meeting. Bascially they try to calm the folks who spared from a mass hysteria.

I received an unexpected 1:1 invite from my manager this morning, and I know of one other person who also got a similar invite. We are both in Rita K’s CXDP org. We are both GL31.

Our team got two diff invites, 3 of us got one time, the rest got another time.
All IT in NY/NJ at OHFT has a meeting today at mid-day.
Got my email at 4AM. Second time in under 2 years. Bet they still record a record profit while we get sc--wed…again…
Its a daily occurence that im on meetings with over 30-40 people and the only American on the call
Real comical that SH's first email out after retaking his throne earlier this year was to reiterate that we're an "american" company. Yeah right. We're now offshoring what little remains of the onshore work force. We're a subsidiary of the Indian government at this point. Any federal, state, or union contracts with UHG should be cancelled immediately today. We shouldn't be permitted to hand over sensitive medicare information to a BRICS country. You would have to have something wrong with your brain to do business with UHG/Optum at this point.
My whole dept in NJ - Already got an email for an important business update meeting with our SVP of OPs.. I believe we’re all getting let go today..
