@ec “Running a business”
That darn autocorrect does it every time… I am sure you meant Stankey RUINING a business.
Go Stankey, getting paid, getting rid of unneeded workers. Running a business.
Why is the Dallas Express, an ultra conservative paper, re-reporting an article of this 'story' that ran in March, 2024--almost 2 years ago!?
And why is someone posting that story like ' look at this big old contract, in India, and yeah now more layoffs'!
This is just clickbait to rile people up on this forum.
Gotcha!
"As it stands today, corporations are stealing, grifting while lobbyists and politicians are laughing all the way to the bank."
And the Grifter in Chief is currently President.
Do you think all those tech companies who "donated" to the new ballroom are willing to pay $100k per H1B or stand for regulated offshoring?
MAGA voters got owned big time!
Bad look!
Randall Stephenson retired in 2020. He sits on the Board of Directors at Walmart--since 2021. BTW he is not lobbyist for any telecommunication. You're beating a dead horse.
You can blame him for a lot of ill advised business missteps but this deal is not one of them!
Just the facts.
@OP it’s a known fact the company could care less about US Soil & Citizenship requirements. This was seen with Project Rome, where T outsourced Managed Services to India! Heck, there is a managed router at the White House, which is managed by folks in India…
I’m sure this deal with much of the same. Send as much as possible to India. It’s sad! But that’s what is happening!
@ax Guess his next task will be President of US.
It's a 10 year contract for Homeland Security, you know what those guys do! Randall Stephenson had zilch to do with this 'deal'. It was finalized in 2024. And yes, they are hiring more international workers like every other corporation in the U.S. cause it's cheaper. And that practice will continue so get used to it, expect that is the way of the world, not just ATT's stance.
When (if) Americans ever realize that corporations don't care about their employees and are only concerned about earnings, profits, perhaps they will begin to focus on electing officials into office that focuses on helping them, not the snake oil hand shakers. As it stands today, corporations are stealing, grifting while lobbyists and politicians are laughing all the way to the bank.
Period.
You get nothing! You lose! Good day sir!
There it is folks.
Seeing is believing.
146 million is 0.12 of one percent of a 120 billion debt load.
It's nothing when you consider just how massive and catastrophic this series of insane financial decisions is at scale.
Stephenson and his chief strategy officer have destroyed AT&T.
Yikes!!!!
