@am That’s because in streaming everyone is a VP plus. It’s the only way they could get them market rate salaries. absurd
@aj many streaming people will be leaving as well by the time convergence happen. Seeing so many teams already working with reduced capacity where people resigning week by week

Did you check the org chart? There are more VPs, SVPs, and EVPs than people actually doing the real work! 😄 I hope the first 1,000 to go are all the VPs and above.

It's been posted here 100 times. Wednesday will be up to 2,000 people, and the next wave will be more streaming-related after convergence. Either way su-ks just like this place.
Let’s just start our own “Parash*t” and leave those 10 VPs and 10 executives behind, they can try doing the real work themselves. Would be great if all 18K of us left, started our own company, and showed them the middle finger.

This is such BS. Based on what’s been going on I think the higher ups are sh-----g themselves and need more time to strategize how to actually lay off the amount of employees they want to while keeping the lights on the networks, which is where most of the layoffs are going to come from
Some hr posted that list of 2000 employees already prepared and she found her name on the list. What is this now if that is true !
It would be nice to know what areas of the company will be affected this round vs round 2 or if there’s any strategy to this at all.
Isnt it ‘great’ that there are sources at deadline.com who can keep us informed of employment activities instead of hearing anything from the people who sign the checks? What a fantastic place to work.
