Why not buyouts the pensions

Offer fair pension buyouts. Pensions are worth 1mill min over lifetime.

@af Freezing it does not mean you would lose your pension.

Government employees should have their pensions eliminated.

That would help Americans more.

Companies can get rid of their pension plans anytime they want too and it is even in the annual pension disclosure at SF with stipulation about what happens if they discontinue it. Companies have been shedding pensions now for 30 years and there is even a federally mandated formula required by law when companies unwind/buyout a pension plan. Nice try but .....guy with a "lawyer"....stop posting made up BS.

Pension is not going anywhere. In our town hall our exec said to ignore those rumors. I have that on video and my attorney standing by if they try anything different

Usually those with less than 10 years, SF offers a buyout. When they freeze it this year there is no benefit for them to do buy outs It is handled by an annuity company and it will just get paid out over time or if you die they keep they money if you don't have the surviver option. Enjoy it while it last folks as this is the last year for it. I know it's been a rumor for a long time, but they will finally execute the last remaining thing keeping textured folks around. Once they purge agency leadership, U/W and have already decimated claims, that will be the last proverbial nail in the coffin for the pension. It all on the chopping block frankly. We have a business model that is trash! "Reimagined" Jake, Patrick, Bateman, and Megan not going to help you SF!
