if you see "business update" or 1-or-1 catch up meeting, just download payslips preemptively, backup all data to external drive, write down all contact details of people you may want to contact in the future. Europe is not IDC or NA, so probably you won't be cut from Oracle access in minutes after that call, but it's better to be prepared.
If you haven't completed backup, and you received the call, after it concludes - immediately disconnect from the Internet, or even set to airplane mode.
Layoffs in Romania confirmed. Not clear how many headcounts.
It already started, I see some posts on linked from people in my network.
Some layoffs in Finland have happened as well
Here's a scary thought ...
OCTOBER 31.
The Bank Of Larry said more layoffs are needed in November to invest in AI and to inflate the stock.
IF one is coming it's being kept under wraps, and anyone who leaks that info knows what will happen to them. No one wants to get dejobbed now.
Major layoff on Nov 3-5 is almost certain.
@cs france could happen in January onwards
What's happening in EMEA is the Aug/September layoff getting through their legal hurdles.
Regarding a November layoff. Where there's smoke, there's fire. And tbh there's not remotely as much smoke as there was for Aug/Sept.
Lots of people in Czechia got that magical invite today.
Any word about France?
heard it’s coming to Poland
Some people have been layed off in Croatia as well
next squid game round? 👀
They are happening right now, at least in Ireland and Czechia.
EMEA Europe and Middle East layoffs are coming
On reddit somebody mentioned that some employees in Mexico were informed by HR to be laid off.
It was mentioned that on 3rd to 5th Nobember it will be rhe next round. Can anybody confirm it?
If you get a 15 minute 1:1 scheduled in your calendar early next week by your boss, you're time up. It's a terribly sick feeling you'll get if you see that calendar entry "Important Business Update". But that's how they do it.
