When we got into WQ1 initially - it was 90% American passport holders in country. It was only after it was deemed not-profitable enuf were the Americans pulled out and replaced.
These Iraq assignments were awful when we pulled out. Rotations with no extra hazard pay and in a hard to reach location (fly on your own time). Literally better to work anywhere else.
Have you talked to any Indians? They don’t want to work anywhere that isn’t an HC10 country. They don’t even want to work in India! They all want to expat to the USA or Europe!
We'll partner up w some dirt bag contractor who does all the work and stay in a position not to be in country full time, if necessary.
With some good hazard pay heck I’d go
They will send BTC and end of career Americans who cannot say no for fear of losing their jobs.
The company will just deplore cheap btc resources on "X-plore" programs, usually ending up having no idea what they're doing and relying on the skilled base engineers to correct their work before they break things. Oh wait, we getting rid of the base. Goodluck.
