My manager is full remote and has no issues tell us how nice it is for himself and his family He's able to get to all his son's games. Able to start weekends early. Able to take cae of family tasks on his schedule. How long is this going to go on while we doing the work forced in the office have non of this?

Please update us at end of 2026 for Commercial and end of 2027 for Consumer as those are the dates all remotes/non core will be gone. No changes here seen.
@qa -Oh the irony, remote watching in office ? You can’t make this sh1t up.
I prefer remote but I keep my reports in line.
Oddly several remote senior managers in CT because they moved from NY years ago yet remain.
Every person in my division who is monitoring badge swipes is remote. This includes my manager. One lady was sick on Monday. They told her get your 3 badge swipes in this week or take PTO. Meanwhile they are home every day.
Middle managers are worthless wherever you go PERIOD
Aren’t we in office to collaborate? So middle management doesn’t need to collaborate, therefore can be fully remote? Sounds like a double standard. And as far I as if you don’t like it, get out on earlier comment, I just did last month. Best thing I did. Much better environment at another bank.
Bragging about their flexibility while enforcing these mandates is so tone deaf. The number of sociopaths in management is astounding.
Their managers are remote too, so if they lay their sycophants off, then that is one less direct report and they may pop up on a report.
My last two managers were full-time remote not living anywhere near a hub. And honestly they were both worthless. They’re never empowered to make any decisions or answer any questions it literally takes weeks to get a response because they always have to check with their manager on any questions and decision-making. Worthless middle managers
Managers get perks you don't. I'd suggest either working towards becoming a manager or building a bridge and getting over it. Whining on a message board isn't gonna help either way.
If you don’t like it then find the door.
Locations are closing but managers get exception to work from home. Are they needed that badly? They really don’t do real work anyways except telling ppl abt this and that report.
Gaslighting is a feature, so it isn’t going away anytime soon. As layoffs impact spans and layers, the managers will become tributes, too.
My manager is fully remote and is very sympathetic and appreciative of that. But I have no doubt that she’s the exception.
