You will be laid off today. If not, there is discussion happening today at some level somewhere regarding your inevitable layoff as you most definitely are considered an expendable cost which needs to be cut.

10/23 is notification in many orgs. Off payroll 11/6. Supervisors had to submit “rankings” for team members about a week ago…so it makes sense that OP says discussions ongoing. May the odds be ever in your favor.
