If it's not saving any money, why do CPG leaders constantly brag to the execs about how many buildings they have closed?

USCIS usually requires companies to have official workplace for H1b visa workers, unless the law is relaxed today.

They also need American to train young H1b visa workers. The workers are highly skilled but have zero to little work experience. How will they shadow you by sitting at home?

This marked a $1.8 billion increase from the previous quarter. Which is why they wont save any $$ from a full WFH scenario. a lot of office buildings are mortgaged/invested by the the major banks. No tenants = No rent = No mortgage payments to banks = foreclosures = banks owning overvalued properties....

I’ve noticed about half the posts on this board are people griping about not being able to work from home.

Why are you all so lazy? You guys would’ve struggled to eat in the Rockefeller/Carnegie days.

Clearly, you have no understanding of the potential consequences of your proposal. In addition to the negative effects on team building and company culture, there are also logistical challenges to consider. Providing all employees with the necessary equipment and software for a remote setup would be costly and time-consuming. Additionally, managing a distributed workforce would present significant challenges, and could lead to communication breakdowns and a lack of accountability. It's clear that your suggestion is not well thought out and lacks any real understanding of the complexities of running a successful business. It's best to leave such important decisions to those who actually know what they're doing.

Too many people think WFH = paid vacation, and managers are the worst. Our department head has us trained not to talk to him before 11:00am because he won’t remember any conversations before then. Too hungover.

The trick is to catch him after he’s had a couple of lunchtime beers, but before he gets a serious buzz on. At that point you’re going to get stuck listening to interminable drunken rambling, so the window is a small one, approximately 1-3pm.

Before WFH he was forced to keep the daytime drinking to a minimum, and weekday hangovers under control. Now - we are all forced to become enablers.

On the upside, he is against RTO, for obvious reasons. Commuting cuts into his drinking time.

they are replacing many white collar American with H1-b visa workers...., young and cheap, usually with a master degree to boot.
