I recall a (good) L3 saying that he only need 3-4 more years here. At the time, I thought to myself that’s “iffy” because of his age & no DEI “qualifications”. Sure enough, he was surplused a while back. It was a raw deal as he was solid, but these Machiavellians don’t care about losing talent. 👎🏻

Don’t guilt trip yourself into paying for your kid to go to school out of state or some big fancy wedding at the expense of your retirement. Can’t tell you how many broke employees I’ve met putting kids thru nursing school or the dream school when a perfectly affordable university is down the road.
