Seems like a poorly kept secret, so who would want to buy the pieces without discount? Maybe RemainCo simply exists as is due to lack of interested buyers or low price offers

In case it isn't obvious by now. 3M is spinning, divesting/selling the non-PFAS businesses so that they may live on. Besides individual divisions in the past 5 years, HCBG was the first to be set free.

TEBG (EMSD and AdMD) and CBG (think Scotchgard) sold a lot of PFAS. Not hard to envision a possible future where after all the spins, all that remains of "3M" is the legacy PFAS areas. Then there is an eventual bankruptcy of the remaining shell of "3M" due to the crushing weight of the liabilities.

Heard from regional people that headcount trimming exercise is coming in Q4 '25. Anybody has more information on the percentage cuts?

They’re exploring selling billions of dollars in assets from their largest core business group. Not a good sign. Is it even 3M anymore without SIBG?

I think it’s funny that tons of people have been saying that consumer is next, and turns out it’s actually sibg 😂
