I am in corp risk and my manager told me I am on the list of those not maintaining 8 hours in the office.
We are warned to maintain 8 hours otherwise it might be used in performance review.
This is becoming scary.

I told you what my manager told me. Whether they can legally enforce anything is not the point, or whether it is guidance or not.
My point is that - this is the warning sent to me. Why are you accusing me of anything, I told you what I got from my manger, whether it is guidance or not is not the point .
I only share what was sent to me by my manager.
I am a manager in a different LOB and we were told this past week the expectation is 8 hours each in-office day. We don’t have reports but the executives do. I inferred from what I was told that they are initially going after those with 4 hours a day or less. The executives pass the word down the management chain to get it resolved. I’ve never seen so many people in the office than I did today. The word is out. For those of you that want to deny or defy, good luck to you!
I am a manager here. The 8 hrs is a guidance and it is up to us on how we enforce. No hard and fast rule here. So not sure where OP is coming from.

I average 4 hours per my office day.
This is no joke, I have no reason to lie.
I don’t want to give exact location in case my team is also reading this board to protect my identity.
From what my managers have said previous week, it seems Derek has the list , but not the managers. So I guess it was just given to managers late last week.
We were told couple of weeks ago, Derek was furious because people were averaging 2 hours a day in office.
My guess is that a lot of people were doing this.
